What is Enegaeru?

Enegaeru is Kokusai Kogyo’s suite of renewable energy simulation software, APIs and Japanese energy databases. It helps companies quantify the value of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery energy storage systems, all-electric homes, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and vehicle-to-home (V2H).

Use it as a shared calculation foundation for your sales team, dealer network or digital service. Combine local electricity tariffs, equipment characteristics and customer demand to turn a product specification into a business case that customers can understand.

Remove the bottlenecks between renewable energy interest and adoption.

Manufacturers, distributors & installers

A capable solar or battery product still needs a convincing local proposal. Help sales teams compare equipment, tariffs and ownership costs using consistent assumptions.

Residential solar, storage & electrification →

EPCs, PPA providers & corporate buyers

A rooftop, factory or portfolio needs more than a headline payback figure. Compare demand, generation, self-consumption and project economics before advancing the proposal.

Commercial & industrial energy →

Utilities, automakers & software teams

Japan-specific tariff maintenance and energy calculations can slow a launch. Embed supported APIs in branded calculators, EV charging services and customer platforms.

Renewable energy APIs for Japan →

Our aim is to help accelerate renewable energy adoption by reducing the work required to collect data, calculate alternatives and explain an investment. Your team can spend more time developing projects and serving customers.

What makes the approach different?

Model the system together

Connect demand, PV generation, battery operation and grid purchases before calculating the electricity bill. A system’s value depends on when energy is produced and used, as well as the selected tariff.

Explore the calculation approach →

Use product-level evidence

ASP distinguishes battery power paths and uses manufacturer-provided specifications, including some values not published in catalogs. Its PV estimates use NEDO METPV20 irradiance data and JIS calculation methods.

See the technical basis →

Reuse the foundation

Choose SaaS for a team, APIs for your own application, or BPO for a defined project. Build a repeatable evaluation workflow around supported data and calculations, with specialist delivery where needed.

Choose your delivery model →

Technical details above describe published ASP capabilities; API and other product coverage must be matched to the selected specification. Some battery entries use reference values. Technical source (Japanese).

3,000+ electricity tariff plans

Published service coverage spans electricity plans from 100+ suppliers. Compare supported basic and usage charges, time-of-use rates, fuel adjustments and Japan’s renewable energy surcharge.

Electricity tariff data & APIs →

Solar & battery system data

ASP combines irradiance data for 835 locations with a battery product master. Manufacturer-supplied characteristics help reflect usable capacity, charging power, conversion losses and standby consumption.

How residential simulations work →

Around 5,000 subsidy records

Find smart-energy support programs from national, prefectural and municipal authorities. Search by region and equipment to identify candidates for solar, storage, EV and V2H projects.

Japan smart-energy subsidy database →

Updated data matters after launch. The Japanese Biz service publishes a monthly electricity-tariff update cycle; the subsidy API publishes monthly updates. Equipment-master and other dataset updates follow their own release processes. Confirm the dataset, effective dates, delivery method and update terms for your selected service.

Published coverage checked October 3, 2026. Counts vary with updates and do not imply that every plan, product or subsidy is available through every API. Sources: ASP capabilities, Biz tariff updates and subsidy API coverage (Japanese).

Who is Kokusai Kogyo?

Enegaeru is provided by Kokusai Kogyo Co., Ltd., a Japanese geospatial technology and consulting company founded in 1947. A MIRAIT ONE Group company, Kokusai Kogyo operates businesses spanning geospatial information, climate-change countermeasures and urban development.

For market-entry teams, that creates a useful starting point for discussing how location, buildings, energy economics and local implementation could fit together. A portfolio-screening or data-integration project can be scoped around the decision you need to make.

Corporate capabilities are not bundled into every Enegaeru subscription. Dataset access, specialist teams, development work and partner participation are agreed individually.

Start with a decision. Prove it with a representative case.

01 / DEFINE

Choose the first use case

Agree the audience, product, region and decision the first project must support.

02 / VALIDATE

Reconcile the assumptions

Test representative inputs, local conditions, outputs and acceptance criteria before wider deployment.

03 / DEPLOY

Scale a workflow that works

Confirm integration, licensing, operations, training and ownership of ongoing updates.

This is a proposed engagement approach. Schedule, deliverables and commercial terms are agreed for each project.
